Your data, your privacy and your trust are critically important to us. Here are answers to some important questions we thought you might have at this point:
What is Token of Trust?
Token of Trust is an online platform that helps organizations and consumers make safer decisions by managing identities and reputations. Organizations use Token of Trust to quickly screen sensitive transactions for safety and to meet compliance requirements while empowering consumers to control and reuse their verified reputations.
How does the process work?
Once you agree to get verified, Token of Trust will walk you through the process step-by-step, collecting your full legal name, your Government Issued Photo ID, a selfie as well as a current proof of address. You can do this right from your desktop or mobile phone. Once that’s done it’s submitted for review and generally complete within a few days.
Is my data safe?
Token of Trust takes the privacy and security of your information very seriously. The data supplied to Token of Trust is uniquely encrypted and stored in the cloud using data storage standards that exceed those used by the banking industry. Token of Trust lets you know before you submit your data who will have access to it.
Who has access to my data?
Token of Trust and www.verterverse.net both have access to your documents during the review process. Token of Trust is compliant with the most stringent international data privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA so they only share information with those that have legal basis to touch it and never share your personal information without your express permission.
How long is my data stored?
Your document data is stored for 1 year on the Token of Trust platform at which point it is automatically deleted. Anonymized historical logs are stored for 7 years.
If I have concerns about your data privacy practices who can I talk to?
Token of Trust is proud of our data privacy practices so if you have any questions please write us at support@tokenoftrust.com. We do have a Data Privacy Officer (DPO) through a company called Process Bolt. They provide independent 3rd party oversight during ongoing development and help us regularly monitor data privacy risks. They can be reached at privacy@tokenoftrust.com or if you prefer you may reach out directly to them via guarav@processbolt.com or dan@processbolt.com for any issues that relate to privacy or if you feel that your concerns are not being handled appropriately.
